Cemeteries
General Information
The City of Reading owns and operates only two cemeteries which are across the road (M-49) from each other, and are called the Maplewood Cemeteries. These are at the North edge of the City of Reading. Both are approximately 8 acres in size.

East Maplewood Cemetery
Sometimes referred to as the “new” side, the East Cemetery Maplewood Cemetery was established in the mid 1900’s.

West Maplewood Cemetery
Sometimes referred to as the “old” side, the West Maplewood Cemetery was established in the mid 1800’s.
