Notice of Vacancy-City Council
The City of Reading is looking for a qualified individual to fill a vacancy on
the Reading City Council. The term of this vacancy will be from the date of
appointment and will end when he, she, or their successor is elected at the
November 2026 Election and the Board of Canvassers certifies the
Election.
An individual wanting to be appointed to fill this vacancy, should be a
registered elector of the City and have been a resident of the City for at
least one year prior to his or her appointment to fill a vacancy.
Any individual wanting to be appointed to fill this vacancy should provide
a Letter of Interest, as well as the attached Application for Appointment,
to the City of Reading Clerk/Treasurer, 113 S. Main Street, PO Box 240,
Reading, MI 49274 or email kym@reading.mi.us by 5:00 pm on
Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
In addition, you may drop your Letter of Interest and Application for
Appointment in the Secure Drop Box located behind City Hall to the
Southside of the middle door.
